LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION FOR THE BELVIDERE POLICE

The Belvidere Police Department may be making another cameo film appearance. A Warren County-based independent film company -- Black Sheep Pictures of Washington -- expects to begin shooting a movie entitled "Silent River" in town this summer. The story will revolve around a group of childhood friends living in 1985 in a small Delaware River town. "Obviously, your town of Belvidere is a perfect setting for the film," co-producer Doug Eaton wrote in a letter to Belvidere officials. It will mark the second time in a year that camera crews descended on this tiny Victorian town. Last October, a Canadian production crew spent a week in Warren County filming an episode of the A&E Channel show "Psychic Investigators."
