County eyes N.J. rail extension to area --- Northampton County PA Council will use $75,000 to examine bringing NJ Transit passenger rail service to the Lehigh Valley. The resolution, which failed last month, passed by a 5-3 margin Thursday night after an amendment allowed council to hold the money until payments of $100,000 from the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. and $75,000 from Lehigh County are made. -- Source: The Morning Call, 11.6.08
