Re: The Cupcake FactoryStopped by today and picked up a cupcake; took it gingerly out of the office; got in my vehicle and swallowed it in three bites! I need more!

We found out about Jill through MYBlairstownNJ.com. Jill asked about advertising cost on the site because she wanted to spread the word about her business, TheCupcakeFactory.net in the area. We told her with a few samples we would let everyone who visits the site what we thought.

We can only wish that Jill would open a store front bakery in the area. WOW! What we had yesterday was just too good. I could see gaining a few unwanted pounds if I didn't control myself. The icing on the cupcakes wasn't that sweet stuff from a can. It had to be real cream.

I think Jill is offering her cakes etc. at the Alpine Butcher and also at Michelle's Nature's Harvest. Jill said she was going to produce some healthy organic bake goods for the health conscience dessert eater.

For those of you who miss Jim, Jill is filling that void. If you would like to order something visit TheCupcakefactory.Net I think she has a great idea and a huge variety of what I will assume to be all very good products

I recommend that everyone start a day off of work like I did, with a cupcake for breakfast - especially a carrot cake cupcake from www.thecupecakefactory.net

You have to place orders online or phone Jill. She mostly works out of her home and will deliver or send whatever you buy.
I have had several cupcake flavors, her breads, cookies and brownies. We're totally hooked. I recommend definitely ordering from Jill since her ingredients are fresh and better quality. She will customize any order and make it organic, gluten free or anything to your liking.
Enjoy!

I thought in the other thread in defense of their prices they said they had to pay rent?! You mean they charge these prices and they work our of their home? Many people rave about their products so they must be very good, but I cetainly cannot afford their prices. I know baing is time consuming, that is why I was looking to purchase some desserts at the on-line market but $41 and $33 per pie is out of my league!

Call Jill directly and the prices are much more reasonable than the market!

Her cupcakes are amazing (had some at a party just tonight... organic chocolate with a peppermint frosting Mmmmm!!) and her cheesecake brownies are out of this world (thanks for bringing them to the barbecue last summer, Carrie! LOL)

I am sure they are great, but who can afford them?! Wish I could, would love to be able to purchase some desserts for the holidays rather than having to bake everything myself!

For anyone who had been reading this, I do not work out of my home. I rent a commercial kitchen in town in their off hours and DO pay rent. In order to be certified with the Board of Health, which we are, you need to work in a commercial kitchen. We are also required to carry insurance when food products are sold. Just to clear up some misinformation. Overhead for any business is figured into all businesses prices, not just mine. Thank you for those who enjoy our goodies and for the compliments.

As I read everyones emails and thoughts, I really find it amazing. Everyone talks about reasonable and I would like things to be more reasonable too but my prices reflect my costs and everything that goes into what it takes to get it to you as comsumers. Being price conscious and a comsumer myself I'm very aware of the market. A lot of research went into pricing from all around the NJ area even smaller town bakeries. Do you want my quality with A&P prices? Wheat prices have risen dramatically in the past year, more than doubled, eggs had the highest increase in 50 years 30%, dairy up more than 20%, gas and shipping prices up dramatically on items we all order including bsuinesses. That all affects me as well. I wish that was more reasonable on my end too. This has been the biggest increase in commodity products in years.

Clohesseys was high priced and there you bought items that came from a box. You could spend $2 on a brownie that was a mix or $25 on a cake that was there a few days. Or not exactly what you wanted. But no one seemed to have a problem there or maybe you did just no where to complain about it.

I have everything to order because I decided not to have wasted products and as a consumer myself I would prefer to order what I want. That's been the feedback from my customers as well. I support other local businesses in their area by buying their products to bake from as well. You get places like A&P where no one can compete with the prices but how many like the quality too? There has to be a compromise somewhere and I didn't want it to be in my quality. I don't make commercial products. So, for those of you who support lcoal business and me. THANK YOU!
