Up on Mount Pleasant

Its been nearly 9 years since We visited on Mt. Pleasant. WE had been frequent visitors to my Aunt and Uncle , Alice and Joe Moran for nearly 50 years. They had 109 acres and a large farm house at the end of Mt. Pleasant Rd. which they had purchased in 1936 and retired to in 1954. Many happy summer days were spent swimming and fishing in the ponds on the property and when weather allowed, cross country skiing in the winter. All of our children loved the place and visited frequently as adults. When Aunt Alice passed away at the age of 102 in 1999 She left the place to her 5 nieces and nephews. Most of us couldn't afford to keep the place up so it went on the market and we sold it. It was the weekend of July 10th 1999 that all of the Morans gathered at "The Farm" for one last weekend, what a great time. We talked about the old days when we would see The Hiltons, The Nelsons, The Jetts and all the others who have gone to thier final reward.
Recently I went on line and with the microsoft virtual earth program visited again. It still looks the same and I am sure the new owners are enjoying it every bit as much as we did.
