Tractor Supply Co?

Hi-
I recently noticed that a sign went up in the old A&P about a TSC coming soon. Does anyone know when it is opened? I am also a little curious to find out why a TSC store when we have Blue Ridge and True Value already-- hope this doesn't make them get run out of business!!

I assume that they are opening because they feel the area is ready for some competition. I think it is great that someone is finally going to be using that eye sore. Opening and bringing consumers into the shopping center will be healthy for all the businesses in the area. Competition is a good thing. Now if we can only get a big super market chain to open near by to compete with the A&P.

I completely agree. True Value is a good shop, and they should be able to handle the competition. That big empty building is really going to look good with a TSC there. I just hope they use local labor & contractors for the work.

Downtown is really beautiful, but it looks like 'Gas Station Central' right now. IMO, getting some nice new businesses in would be a great improvement.

My husband and I and also friends are so stoked about TSC coming into town. We are always either driving to Washington and Flanders just to go and the gas is too expensive. You can buy so much more things that you need on the farm that are cheaper than agway and you have much more of a selection. Its for the best this is exactly what this town needed

I heard they are opening in Sept.

I hope they do well so there are some jobs for local residents.

Any word yet on when it will open?

I heard October. But they are starting job interviews at the Holiday Inn in newton on July 28, 29, and 30th... I really can't wait until it opens.
